The 1Malaysia Book Voucher or Baucar Buku 1Malaysia (BB1M) is an initiative by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) in 2012 to help ease the financial burden of tertiary students all over Malaysia as well as help these students get better access to books and stationery that would help them with their studies. In 2013, the RM260 Million allocation for 1Malaysia Book Voucher 2013 has benefit all Malaysian Students in Tertiary Education (Local Public & Private University / Colleges / Institute), Matriculation as well as Form 6 Students. In 2012, the book vouchers were given out in the month of January. In 2013, the vouchers were given out starting from February 2013.

1Malaysia Book Voucher 2014

In 2014, RM325 million have been allocated for 1Malaysia Book Voucher to 1.3 million students of pre-university and institute of higher education. All Malaysian students are entitled to receive RM250 of book voucher. This book voucher is valid for 7 months, starts from 1st January 2014 until 31st July 2014. Besides, all students can claim their book voucher at their education institutions.

Basically, students will get a one-off voucher worth RM250 (it was RM200 in 2012), which they can use to purchase books and stationery in participating bookstores in Malaysia.
