Malaysia Postal Due Cover with Stamps (From Penang)

In Malaysia, postage due is chargable twice of the postage cost. For this cover, the postage cost should be 70 sen (RM0.70), therefore total due amount will be RM1.40

On front cover, written in red 25/01 → 1/02 as a remark when the letter is due available for collection.

Post office will sent a yellow notice NOTIFICATION OF POSTAL ITEM to the recipient that there is a letter for collection to be collected at a destined post office's collection department. It marked Insufficient Postage.

On the notice, paragraph number 2 provides information on when the letter can be collected. Paragraph number 3 is the amount to be paid and paragraph number 4 is the due date.

Bringing the yellow notice to the collection counter, the clerk will then ask if you agree to pay the amount due and if so, the clerk will then get the correct amount of the Postage Due stamps and stick on the cover before cancelling them.

The stamp is NOT available for sale for public and also not valid for postal.
