Royal Mail has agreed to help the Stamp World London 90 Exhibition by providing means of Financial Support.
A sum of 50p from the sale of miniature sheet will be available to help finance the 1990 Exhibition at the Alexandra Palace from 3-13 May 1990. The logotype of exhibition appears as part of the marginal inscription on the sheet.
The Penny Black Anniversary stamp was designed by Jeffery Matthews FCSD. The miniature sheet was designed by Sedley Place Designed Limited. The stamp and the miniature sheet were printed in photogravure and recess by Harrison & Sons Limited. The miniature sheet was issued on 3 May 1990.
