The issuance of the Unique Birds of Malaysia stamps and First Day Cover is a collaborative effort between Pos Malaysia and the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS). This stamp issue features several species of birds that are endemis to Malaysia. These unique species are amongst many more that require attention and protection from extinction. Loss of habitat remains the main concern for birds in Malaysia to flourish or exist in our jungles for the next generations. With this stamp issue, we also hope all Malaysian will be aware and appreciative of our local birds
