Spain - Pair of 2 €0.55 : 'Good News' (2015)
More than 2,800 drawings of seals have been submitted to First National Stamp Design Competition "DISELLO" organized by Correos. The competition has been aimed philately closer to citizens and to involve them to demonstrate their artistic talents by designing a stamp. The winners in the two categories called sketches: general and youth, are reproduced in this issue.

In the event they have competed over 1,800 participants from all over Spain, which have submitted more than 2,800 drawings full of originality. The jury was composed of renowned designers who for the judging of the competition have been taken into account about 28,000 votes received by Internet.

In the junior category, between 12 and 17 years, the issue to be addressed was the "International Year of Light", so declared by the United Nations 2015. In this mode they have competed 400 drawings and the first prize went to Minerva Garcia Mendez, Oviedo, for his work entitled "Year of Light". She wanted to pick up on the importance of image light on the daily life and especially now with the emerging development of new communication technologies, translating into your drawing to a young man with a media that expands a light beam on his face.

In the general category, for over 18 years and free subject, there have been 2,400 creations. Many of the designs refer to universal and present concepts such as ecology, the environment, the fight against disease, culture and love. Among the contestants it has featured a diverse audience, as new designers, design professionals, teachers and fans to the world of photography. The first prize was awarded to Andres Molina Arribas, Madrid, for his "Good News".

In addition to the dissemination of philately, the DISELLO competition organized by Correos has revealed that the seals are much more than a set of postage: "They are a great support to tell stories, express emotions and communicate ideas."
