Respecting speed means keeping to the speed limits set by law, whether maximums or minimums. These are set by the national and local governments´ legislative bodies. The National Traffic Department runs regular campaigns to create awareness among drivers about the need to comply with speed rules. Other campaigns on the subject cover safe driving and the use of speed limiters, a system designed to help the driver not to go over permitted limits.
