Malaysian Airlines System (MAS; Malay: Sistem Penerbangan Malaysia) is the flag carrier airline of Malaysia. Malaysia Airlines (MAS) operates flights from its home base, Kuala Lumpur International Airportand with a secondary hub in Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. The airline has its headquarters on the grounds of Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airportin Subang, Selangor, in Greater Kuala Lumpur. It is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance.
In 1972, Malaysia Airlines System breakup from Malaysia-Singapore Airlines (MSA) hence the inauguratio of the new name in 1973.
